Neighborhood Alliance Administrative Staff
Connie joined Neighborhood Alliance in February, 1999. Connie has over 25 years experience directing and managing early childhood and educational development programs. Prior to joining Neighborhood Alliance, while raising her three children, she had run her own in-home day care.
In June 2010, Connie was promoted to Vice President of Neighborhood Alliance and then in May 2011, she was chosen as the new President/CEO. Connie currently is a member of Lorain County Early Childhood Task Force, Lorain County Chamber of Commerce, Greater Lorain County Early Learning Consortium, Clearview H.S. Athletic Boosters, and Leadership Lorain County. Connie holds a CDA in Early Childhood Development.
Holly joined Neighborhood Alliance in October, 1998. She has over 16 years experience directing the finances of non-profits. Prior to joining Neighborhood Alliance, Holly was the Finance Director for the Rose-Mary Center and Interim Finance Director for Neighborhood Progress Inc. She began her professional career in public accounting in 1989.
Holly is a graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 1991.
She is currently Treasurer of the Avon Lake High School Athletic Boosters. Holly is also actively involved with various PTA’s, the ALHS Choir Boosters and the Avon Lake Soccer Organization Father’s Day Tournament.
Dawn has spent over a dozen years in various roles of the nonprofit community. After a career in outside sales, in 2003, Dawn found her niche in the nonprofit community of Lorain County. Dawn has served as a Client Service Coordinator, Special Event Coordinator, and Executive Director. Her roles have her to learn many facet of a nonprofit organization including strategic planning, fundraising and special events, donors and volunteer engagement, diversifying revenue through corporate and donor relations, grant writing, and building organizational awareness within the local and corporate community.
In 2010, Dawn accepted the invitation to be Director of Development, and subsequently, Vice President of Neighborhood Alliance – the largest provider of basic needs services within Lorain County and with an annual budget of over $2.8M. The priority is to create a more sustainable organization by building funding diversification through donor engagement, corporate relations, grant writing, special events, and brand awareness.
Dawn also hold credentials as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), and a Certificate for NonProfit Management (CNM) from Case Western Reserve University. She is also an active member of Avon/Avon Lake Rotary Club for the past ten years, Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), North Coast Chamber of Commerce, as well as Lorain County Chamber of Commerce, and an alumnus of Leadership Lorain County (Class of 2010).
Lori Magyar, R.D.
Grant Writer/Volunteer Coordinator
Lori joined Neighborhood Alliance in February, 2012. She has over 6 years experience in grant writing for non-profits. Prior to joining Neighborhood Alliance, Lori was a Client Service Coordinator with Avon/Avon Lake Community Resource Services for 5 1/2 years. She also served as Interim Director.
Lori holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Dietetics from Miami University of Ohio. She is a member of the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Marketing and Public Relations Specialist
Jadera joined Neighborhood Alliance in October, 2012 as a Marketing and Public Relations Specialist. With her Bachelors of Science in Advertisement from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, she brings a unique combination of graphic design, photography and communication skills to enhance the reach of Neighborhood Alliance. Also a member of Leadership Lorain County’s Signature Class of 2012, this young professional brings over 5 years of experience in the field of Marketing and PR.
Human Resource Generalist
Alicia joined Neighborhood Alliance in June of 2015, bringing with her over 17 years of experience in human resources and business management.
Alicia holds a Master’s of Science in Non-Profit Management/Leadership from Walden University. She has also attained certificates as a Certified Life Strategies Coach (CLSC) from The Spencer Institute, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute, and the Society for Human Resource Management’s Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential. Alicia is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Pat joined Neighborhood Alliance in May of 2013. She has over 13 years experience in Missions and Outreach. Prior to joining Neighborhood Alliance, Pat served as the Missions Support Coordinator at Bay Presbyterian Church. Prior to that she worked at National City Bank for over 20 years in the Accounting and Trust Departments. Pat holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from Baldwin Wallace University.
