Corporate Volunteer Opportunities

We have many volunteer opportunities at Neighborhood Alliance and welcoming to any corporate group or team that are willing to donate time/talents/treasures to those at risk in our community.

If you are interested in corporate volunteering, please refer to the list below for project examples.

School Age Enrichment:Teach units on science or math enrichment, provide hands-on experiences for children from preschool to school aged .

After-school Fun: Help provide crafts or snacks for the children and stay to help with homework.

Oberlin Senior Center: Provide a Lunch and Learn or just lunch at our Oberlin Senior Center.

Hot Delivered Meal Jumper: Ride along on our Home Delivered Meal routes to interact with Home bound
Seniors, proving meals and wellness checks.

Special Events: Serve on a planning committee for our special events. This includes our Champions for Charity Golf Outing in August, Aces and Ale Casino Night in March, and the Homeless Overnight and Home Run for the Homeless in April.

Simple Sunday Dinners: Pull together co-workers or family and friends and prepare and serve a Sunday meal at the Haven Homeless Center located in Lorain, which is the only extended stay 24/7 full service shelter for men, women and children in Lorain County.

Holiday Programs: Participate in our Christmas for Caring program either as an individual supporter or as a company representative. Spearhead a collection of for one of the 400 seniors who are served on the Home Delivered Meal routes. Fill a Family Care Basket or adopt a child.

Ambassador Program: Learn about Neighborhood Alliance and help spread the word at local fairs and
community events by staffing information tables.

Spring & Fall Clean-up Project: Trim trees and shrubs, wash windows, pull weeds, rake leaves. Depending on the season, there is much work to be done to keep our centers exteriors in good shape.

Interior Projects: Renovate our centers with updated paint, lighting, shelving.

Corporate Collections: Provide for the current needs of our centers. Provide bedding or towels for Haven or school supplies for our Child Enrichment Centers. How about kitchen supplies such as tinfoil or
Saran Wrap for our Home Delivered Meals program? Senior emergency kits could provide 3 days of
emergency food for a low-income home bound senior.
