Senior Enrichment Services

At Neighborhood Alliance, our goal is to help people at every stage of their life. For seniors, we are honored to provide an array of comprehensive support services and socialization opportunities for those 55 and older.
We provide five meals a week to close to 500 frail, elderly and severely handicapped residents throughout Lorain County. Each of those clients receives a dietitian-approved meal hand delivered to their door by one of our conscientious drivers. We provide families with peace of mind knowing that their loved one is receiving good nutrition and someone is checking on them on a daily basis. In fact, our drivers are sometimes the first line of defense for clients who live alone and may need medical assistance.
At our Oberlin Senior Center we offer programs and activities that are designed to stimulate mental and physical exercise that really foster an enriching experience to older adults such as bowling, quilting, bingo, line dancing and excursions to Amish Country, professional sports games and Playhouse Square.
We also help connect seniors to the benefits of programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Home Energy programs, Homestead Exemption and Golden Buckeye Cards. In an effort to keep seniors independent, we work with other organizations to provide repair and maintenance assistance to ensure safe housing.
Our center is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and serves diverse population of seniors from various racial, economic, religious and ethnic background
